United States of America, Obama’s Administration, government announced Wednesday that it would begin easing some sanctions on Myanmar, lifting restrictions on U.S. investments in the country in response to its decision to embrace democratic reforms.
It seems the US government quite satisfied the Elections that held last weekend as free and fair. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said that, by easing some sanctions, the Obama administration was delivering on its promise to “meet action with action. We fully recognize and embrace the progress that has taken place and we will continue our policy of engagement”
Authorities said the strategy was prograssed with the appointment of choose human-rights groups and democracy advocaters as well as with associates of members of Congress. Still, some experts indicated security that the reducing of actions against may be too soon.
