Japanese government is ready to donate 1 Billion yen ($15.3 millions) to Myanmar to support ethnic minorities and war victims.
According to Asia One News, “Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda will officially announce the program on April 21 when he will meet with Myanmar President Thein Sein in Tokyo.”
Additionally to the food aid and refugee support, the Japanese government is considering conducting vocational training programs in areas where ethnic minorities live, and exploiting natural resources such as natural gas.
