Myanmar Business, Myanmar Government will begin new exchange rate which equal to black exchange rate, from April 1. Myanmar will start a handled float of its currency, the kyat, from April 1, the central bank mentioned in an official newspaper on Wednesday.
Htin Aung, director general of the Ministry of Energy’s Energy Planning Department said, ‘We are now using the 800 kyat per U.S. dollar for the time being. Starting from April, there will be more exchange rate modifications to come.’
